KLab4Kids is aimed at investigating on the best pedagogical methods and existing projects on STEM teaching and learning in Early Childhood Education across Europe, in order to promote an international exchange of best practices and experiences in fostering active learning of sciences in ECEC, as well as stimulating and encouraging teachers to find new, modern and interactive methods to effectively teach science.

In line with the EU strategies for 2020 and the need for a systemic and integrated approach to Early Childhood education and Care, the project will identify key issues and questions for an effective teaching of STEM at preschool level, collecting and producing resources (science activities and games with food) for pre-primary school teachers.

The project will address these issues in an integrative way by combining state-of-the-art knowledge of factors determining personal, social and economic benefits of ECEC with knowledge of the mechanisms determining access to and use of ECEC.
